Our Team

Robert M. Appleby is a Lead Crisis Intervention Specialist and a Handle with Care Master Trainer with more than 30 years of experience using and teaching Handle With Care.  Robert has committed his professional life to helping others navigate  the challenging waters of emotional, physical, and psychological trauma. As the Lead Crisis Intervention Coordinator at a clinical institution Robert provided continual training in de-escalation, crisis negotiation, physical intervention, and therapeutic rapport to ensure the safety of the clients and organization. Robert Appleby served in the United States Navy.  During his years of service, he earned the Second Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, the USCG Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, and Sailor of the Month accommodation. Robert Appleby is one of six siblings and the only brother of five sisters. He comes from a very tightly knit family, has been married to his wife Karen for twenty-five years and they have two sons, Robert, and Bryan.
